First Pile Driven in Sluiskil
26 November 2020

On November 25, the official pile was driven by Alderman Frank van Hulle for the new construction project in Sluiskil. This project consists of 32 apartments for migrant workers that will be built, rented out, and managed by HomeFlex.

Director Bert Verheij expressed his gratitude towards the municipality of Terneuzen, which has been very proactive in the preparations for this project. Alderman van Hulle called this project an exemplary model for the whole of the Netherlands that meets the current demand for housing in many municipalities. Because the project complies with the findings set by the Roemer commission, migrant workers can be properly housed here.

Due to the current corona measures, only a small number of people were present at this milestone. If everything goes according to plan, the completion of the apartments will take place in the spring of 2021.
